MOS Related Degrees
| Specialized Associate in Arts Degree A.A. Degree Program Designed for the Military Services Coastline has one of the most readily achievable associate degrees available to Servicemembers. We accept up to 40 sh for ACE Guide recommended credit and/or CLEP and DANTES exams. We offer 19 different military specialty related degrees, several of which are applicable to Army MOSs and are outlined below. Our AA in Distribution Operations Management, which deals with supply and logistics management, is a SOCAD Army Career Degree partnered with the 92A and 92Y MOS communities. Our 18+18+24 degree formula (18 sh general education + 18 sh in the major {Army MOS} + 24 sh of free electives) allows for generous credit for military experience. Coastline's residency requirement is 12 semester hours which can be satisfied through our distance learning courses available by Internet or CD. A.A. degree programs available with specific areas of emphasis relating to military occupational specialties are listed below: A.A. Degree, in Aviation Technology For occupational specialties in all branches of the military involved with maintenance and repair of aircraft structures and/or power systems. Applicable MOSs: 67G, 67N, 67R, 67S, 67T, 67U, 67V, 67Y, 67Z, 68B, 68D, 68G, 68H, 68K 93C, 93P A.A. Degree, in Business & Administration For occupational specialties in all branches involved in the administration of personnel, material, and services, including such areas as office management, financial services, postal services and supply systems. Applicable MOSs: 71G, 71L, 71M 73C, 73D, 73Z 75F, 75H A.A. Degree, in Computer Systems For occupational specialties in all branches involved in the fields of information technology, networking, programming, information systems and data processing. Applicable MOSs: 74B, 74C, 74D, 74F, 74G, 74Z A.A. Degree, in Construction Technology For occupational specialties in all branches involved with the various construction trades including heavy equipment operations, carpentry, building inspection, surveying and public utilities. Servicemembers in the Navy's "Sea Bees" and the Army Corps of Engineers might ask for this degree. Applicable MOSs: 51B, 51H, 51T, 51Z 62N A.A. Degree, in Counseling and Applied Psychology For occupational specialties in all branches involved in personnel and career counseling. Training for counselors includes subjects such as theory and practice of counseling, group process theory and practice, intro to psychology and abnormal psychology. Applicable MOSs: 79D, 79S 91G A.A. Degree, in Criminal Justice For servicemembers in all branches involved in the law enforcement or the administration of justice fields, including such population groups as the Navy's Master-At-Arms rating, the Army's military police and the Marine Corps' security guards. Applicable MOSs: 95B, 95C, 95D 97B A.A. Degree, in Distribution Operations Management For occupational specialties in all branches of the military involved in inventory control, materiel logistics management, warehousing operations and/or operations of supply support data systems. Applicable MOSs: 76J 77F 88X, 88Z 92A, 92Y, 92Z A.A. Degree, in Electrical Mechanical Technology For numerous occupational specialties in all branches involved in the maintenance and/or repair of electrical and/or mechanical machines, motors and systems. Electricians and mechanics top the list of eligible trades. Applicable MOSs: 27H 44E 52C, 52D, 52E 62B, 63B, 63D, 63E, 63H, 63N, 63T 68F 88L 91A A.A. Degree, in Electronic Data Systems For occupational specialties in all branches involved with data processing and the management of information systems. Applicable MOSs: 74Z A.A. Degree, in Electronics Technology For occupational specialties in all branches involved in the maintenance and/or repair of electronic devices and systems. Applicable MOSs: 14T 24H, 24K 27G, 27K, 27X, 27Z 31Z, 33W, 33Z 35B, 35H, 35L, 35Q, 35R, 35W 68N A.A. Degree, in Food Service Management For occupational specialties in all the branches involved in the purchasing, preparation and/or service of food and beverages. Navy Mess Management Specialists (MS rating) and Army Food Service Specialists (92G MOS) are examples of this specialty. Applicable MOSs: 91M 92G 94B A.A. Degree, in Health Science Technology For occupational specialties in all the branches involved in the various allied health fields of the medical and dental professions. Applicable MOSs: 42C, 42D, 91B, 91C, 91D, 91E, 91K, 91P, 91Q, 91S, 91T, 91V, 91X A.A. Degree, in Management For senior enlisted, warrant officer and officer personnel in all the branches of the military. Applicable MOSs: 52X 55Z 63Z 67Z 88M Any Warrant Officer A.A. Degree, in Marketing and Sales For recruiters in all branches of the military. Their military schooling deals extensively with the elements of sales techniques and sales management, marketing principles, audiovisual techniques, advertising and social psychology. Applicable MOSs: 79R, 79T A.A. Degree, in Media/Communications For occupational specialties in all branches involved in the fields of electronic, written, visual or verbal communications or communications systems. Includes people in public affairs, journalism, broadcasting, photography, graphic design and related areas. Applicable MOSs: 25M, 25S, 25V, 25Z, 46Q, 46R, 46Z 81L 83F |
