Options II - Transfer Plan for CSU 
(Liberal Arts)
Option II requires completion of at least 39 units of general education courses, to include the specific requirements listed in Groups A through E plus major and/or elective units (number 100-299) to total 60 units. A grade of "C" or better is required for all courses in Groups A and B4. CLEP/DANTES credit will not count for the associate in arts degree under Options II or III, or toward CSU or IGETC certification. Military schooling and experience may not count toward elective units at some four year institutions. It is always recommended that you check with the transferring institution.
  • General Education Requirement: Completion of 39 credit hours of general education courses, to include the specific requirement listed in Groups A through E (see chart below)
  • Elective Requirement: Completion of at least 21 credit hours of free electives (numbered 100-299) .
  • Global/Multicultural Studies Requirement: Completion of at least 2.5 units. (NOTED BY *)

Note:
1. *Meets the Global and Multicultural studies requirement.
2. A single course will not meet more than one group requirement.
3. Transfer students are advised to complete History 170 or 175 and Political Science 100 from Group D.
Proficiency in these areas is required prior to graduation from the CSU System.
